The Alcona Food Trail Association provides a self-guided tour by mapping out locations of interesting destination farms and specialty food and product producers to help visitors to Northern Michigan find and make purchases at product locations. Bringing together consumers and local producers in this way promotes the benefits of locally grown and produced foods throughout the year and establishes important relationships between consumers and their food sources while promoting county-wide tourism in Alcona County Michigan.
